still had eleven shooters try their luck. We shot from twenty-five yards, out

Archery The next GSB shoot is scheduled for August 29th. Bow and Bylaws. The vote for the amended by-law was unanimous. On August 4th there will be a vote to amend Article 8 Membership. All voting members will receive a copy with this newsletter, By mail or on the website, see last few pages please read and attend for the vote if you can. Bring your children / grandchildren to spend the afternoon and have a camp out overnight. We will plan activities for them such as fishing, games, movies and a campfire. Fishing Tourament is in the works for August, call Terrence at
895-1256 need a head of members interested to proceed. Kitchen will be
serving lunch at RSC Outing All members and their family are welcome to come and enjoy the day. There will be plenty of food, bow & arrow for the kids, fishing poles available for the kids to fish in the pond.... Also planning to have the horse drawn hay rides again this year. Barbeque Chicken, Corn on the cob, etc... soda and water included. Feel free to bring a dessert... Cost is $5 per adult - children living at home 18 and under are free... Please RSVP no later than COME AND ENJOY THE DAY WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!! Article 8. membership
Section 8.01 Membership Types
(a) MEMBER: A Member will be defined as a person holding any membership type identified in this section.
(i) Voting Member: A Voting Member will be defined as a member holding a Regular, Senior/Regular, or Life membership.
(ii) Non-Voting Member: A Non-Voting Member will be defined as a member holding an Associate, Senior/Associate, Junior, or Honorary membership.
(b) REGULAR: A Regular Member has been an Associate Member for at least one (1) year (12 consecutive months of membership), age eighteen (18) or older, and completed twenty-five (25) hours of service (cumulative since join date) to the RSC with any Active Committee. A Regular Member will have voting rights and can hold elected office.
(c) SENIOR/REGULAR:
A Senior/Regular Member is age [Age] Sixty (60) or over and has been
an Associate or Senior Associate Member for at least one (1) year (12
consecutive months of membership), and completed twenty-five (25) hours
of service (cumulative since join date) to the RSC with any Active Committee. [(After one year)] A Senior/Regular will have voting rights and can hold elected office.
(d) LIFE: A
Life Member is an outstanding
member of the R.S.C. To receive this Honor a proposal made
by any member first
must be made to the Advisory Board. The membership will be informed and [voting
members will decide by a paper ballot vote] a majority vote by secret ballot of voting members present at the
meeting will be required for approval. A Life
Member will have voting rights and can hold elected office.
(e) ASSOCIATE:
An Associate Member is one who has not met the criteria for Regular Membership. [In addition, an]
An Associate Member [shall have no] will not have voting [privileges] rights, [or
hold] and cannot hold elected office.
(i) An Associate Member can however, serve on or chair any committee, and may sponsor candidates for Associate Membership.
(ii) An Associate Member may, after one (1) year (12 consecutive months of membership),
apply for Regular Membership on a first come, first served basis, as memberships become available. All Regular Membership criteria in this article must be met before any application may be accepted for Regular Membership.
(iii) [An Associate membership may be bestowed
upon any person for meritorious service to the club. The Advisory
Board shall present the name to the membership for a vote. A majority vote of voting members present shall be
required for approval.]
(f) SENIOR/ASSOCIATE: A Senior/Associate Member
is age [Age] Sixty (60) or over
who has not met the criteria for Senior/Regular Membership. [(No voting rights)] A Senior/Associate
member will not have voting
rights and cannot hold elected office.
(g) JUNIOR: Any
individual ten (10) thru seventeen (17) years of
age [may] will be eligible for Junior Membership in this club if
properly sponsored. Junior Members [shall] will not
have [no]
voting rights, cannot sponsor a candidate for membership, hold an elected
office, or have keys to the club house area or range. However, a Junior Member can be appointed
to a committee. Junior members advance to Regular [Members] Membership at age eighteen
(18) if they have been a Junior Member for [two
(2) years or been a member for] at least
one (1) year (12 consecutive months of membership) and completed twenty-five (25) hours of
service (cumulative
since join date) to the RSC with any Active Committee. If the criteria to advance to Regular Membership have not been met, a Junior
Member will advance to Associate Membership. [, whichever one comes first.] [All current Junior Members will be grand fathered and allowed to Advance to Regular at age
sixteen (16) if they pay dues accordingly and meet all other criteria
stated in these bylaws.]
(h) HONORARY: An Honorary Member is given membership [Given] for special reasons. [(No voting rights)]
To receive this Honor a proposal first must be made by any member to
the Advisory Board and presented to the membership, [voted on by all officers of the RSC. If approved by the Officers of the RSC, the
membership will be informed and voting
members will decide.] A majority vote by secret ballot of voting members present at the meeting will be required
for approval. Honorary members do not have voting
rights and cannot hold elected office, do not pay dues and do not have to be NRA members. Honorary memberships will be
reviewed during the first meeting in April of each year.
(i) FAMILY: A Family
Membership consists of a Member and spouse and pay
reduced dues. This membership is
available for Regular, Senior/Regular, Associate and Senior/Associate Memberships. Each member
within a Family Membership will be recognized individually based on their
membership type for voting and capacity planning purposes.
Section 8.02 Membership Criteria
(a) Any person ten (10) years of age or older [may]
will be eligible for
membership.-This club shall limit subscription to 100 voting members. When
we reach this 100 members, members will go on a waiting list according to
seniority based on when they joined RSC, to advance, as openings become
available.
(b) This club will limit the
number of members allowed under each membership type:
(i) Voting Membership
will be limited to 100 members. When the
100 member limit is
reached.
Junior, Associate and Senior/Associate Members looking to advance will be put
on a seniority based waiting list (based on the date on which the member joined
RSC). In the event that the number of members with the same join date looking
to advance is

greater than the number of open Voting Memberships, the member(s) with the most work hours in the previous year will advance. Advancement will occur as openings become available.
(ii) Non-Voting Membership will be limited to 150 members.
(c) It [shall
] will be the duty and obligation of each member of this
club to attend, whenever possible, all meetings, to take part in all business transacted at said meetings, to pay dues, and aid in
the promotion of the purpose for which this club was formed.
Section 8.03 Membership Procedures
(a) The candidate
must be present and fill out the proper application for membership, and, except for Junior Members (who are
exempt from this fee), include a non-refundable one time application fee of
(Fifty Percent(50%) of current regular membership dues in effect at time of joining. Upon
receipt of the candidate's application said application [shall] will be
reviewed and signed by the Advisory Board.
(b) If accepted as a member, current dues must be paid before receiving a membership card.
(c) Junior and Associate Members: Following Advisory Board review of all initial Junior and Associate Membership applications, a voice vote will be called for by the presiding officer. Applicants shall remain in the room during the reading of the applications and will be required to leave the room for the duration of the vote.
(d) Regular Members: To Advance from Junior or Associate requires an updated application (no fee) and standard voting procedure apply.
Section 8.04 Membership Privileges
Use of the Club's outdoor facilities and
clubhouse is nonexclusive. A
member may use all outdoor
facilities and clubhouse of the Club except when restricted by an approved
function. Rules of individual committees [shall] will apply.
