 RSC Meetings

 Our meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of         every month, 7pm at our Clubhouse.


 Range Gate and Lock
 Opened while using the Range, Locked when you leave the Range year round
until further notice. Keys are for members only!

 

 NOTICE: If you are caught shooting glass or any other inappropriate targets you will be removed from the membership!

 

 Building Committee

Wednesday Work Parties      

Work parties have ended outside, but the building committee is still doing interior work, stop in and see.

 

 

Range and Shoots "Think Safety"

Please do not move the targets from in front of the berms, they are there for SAFTEY!

 

Do Not put live rounds in the trash can!!!

   Range Rules "Raymond Sportsman's Club"                                             

1) Range Is for the Use of RSC Members, Their Guests and Raymond Police only.                                                      2) Shoot Only from Benches or Edge of Concrete Firing Platform on the Rifle range.
3) Make Certain Range Is Clear and Red "Range Hot" Flag Is Flying When
Using the Rifle or Pistol Range.
4) Shoot Only at Club Approved Targets. (I.E. Paper or Cardboard)
5) All Loaded Firearms Will Be Pointed down Range.
6) All Unloaded Firearms Will Be Visually Checked, Placed in the Rack or Cased.
7) All Firearms Will Be Visually Checked and Stowed Before Anyone Is Permitted down Range.
8) All Brass, Unfired Rounds, Trash Etc., Will Be Picked Up and Disposed of in Appropriate Locations.
9) No Alcoholic Beverages Are Allowed at the Range.
10) All Common Sense Safety Rules Will Be Strictly Adhered to by All Present

Dues are due as of April 1, 2008. Staring this year there will be a $25.00 charge when you pay your dues. If you complete the required number of hours of service next year the $25.00 will be carried over. If you don’t fill the number of hours required per the By-laws, you will be charged again. Senior dues are $48.00. Regular member’s dues are $96.00. Remember you either have to be an NRA member or pay the equivalent amount to the club $10.00. If you pay your dues via mail please send a stamp along with the dues. Thank you Franklin C, Knowles Treasurer, Raymond Sportsman’s Club.

 

Deer Pool

Winners in state are Bill Lane with 181# & out of state is Al Dupras Sr. with 165#.

 

Recreation

Game dinner was fantastic any one who did not go missed a great time. Bill brought his spring water and Frank his chili, plus plenty of other dishes.

 

Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner on 3/15 at 6:00pm, 50+ head count to attend.

 

Joe Brackett has volunteered to put on horse shoe tournament (some of the seasoned members might remember) dates are to be announced later.

 

Recreation Committee is looking for suggestions for events in 2008, if you have ideas come to the meeting and present them or email or call the newsletter address & number at end of this newsletter.

Spacetown Beagle Club

SBC will be having their trails on April 26th & 27th. On the 27th they will be drawing the raffle. For tickets or more info contact Richie Houde.

 

Something new

A proposal of a monthly 50/50 was discussed and soon two boxes will be at the range. One will have slips of paper and paper clip in it, the other will be locked with a slot. Write your key/membership number on the slip clip a dollar to it drop it in the slot. Advisory board members will empty frequently.  Drawing will be second meeting of each month. Good luck!

Scout Leader training will be going on at the club March 8th, 22nd, & 23rd.
